It prints quickly at speeds of up to 200 mm per second (8 in/sec) at 203 dpi and can accommodate 300 m of standard colour ribbons with an outer diameter of up to 127 mm wide on a 1-inch core. Media is easy to reload because the Hi-Open housing opens upwards at a 90-degree angle and can be closed with a click lock so that media rolls can be reloaded easily. The cleverly designed ribbon holder accepts ribbons from any direction. As arrows mark the unwinding direction, incorrect loading is impossible. Thanks to its space-saving, modern design, the white model fulfils the requirements of smart retailers and the medical sector in particular.
The CL-E321 is well networked and has LAN, USB and serial interfaces with full hardware and software compatibility as standard. The label printer can be remotely controlled, with settings operated via the Citizen LinkServer management tool. Cross-emulation, Zebra ZPL, Datamax and EPL languages are set up as standard. These are automatically selected to minimise operator intervention.
