The direct-to-card printer in black and silver uses dye sublimation/thermal transfer at 300 × 300 dpi and prints high-quality images on both sides – at up to 200 cards/hour in color or 900 cards/hour in monochrome; 2 GB flash and Print Touch NFC support fast, intuitive operation. Magnetic stripe encoding according to ISO 7811 is supported (with appropriate equipment), ensuring that photos, text, barcodes, and tracks are processed reliably. 

The scope of delivery includes a YMCKO ribbon for up to 300 card pages, 500 white PVC cards in standard thickness (30 mil, suitable for thermal transfer and retransfer), and two cleaning cards to ensure consistent print quality and reduce wear. 

The cardPresso XS software offers all the basic functions for easy, professional card design and printing, including magnetic stripe encoding. In addition, the software offers a practical connection to Excel or CSV files – ideal for batch printing of ID cards with text, images, and barcodes.
