The Granit 1981i wireless industrial scanner can read 1D and 2D barcodes at a distance of 15 cm and up to an incredible 15 m thanks to the enormous range of the area imaging technology. Whether reading 7.5-mil codes at arm's length on paper with poor print quality or reflective 100-mil codes directly under the warehouse roof, the 1981i's outstanding reading performance ensures high throughput and optimum productivity even under extreme working conditions.
Numerous technologies ensure high user-friendliness: thanks to the integrated laser beam aiming system with automatic illumination and direction-independent reading as well as a special function for targeted reading in the scan field centre, you can work precisely even with a wide scanning range. Forklift truck drivers with mobile vehicle computers, e.g. from Honeywell's Thor series, in particular will appreciate the versatile scanning functions of the 1981i, as pallets located at a great distance can now be scanned comfortably while seated and therefore much more productively. Like all scanners in the Granit series, the 1981i is specially designed for work in extreme environmental conditions. The Granit housing, which has long since become standard, makes the 1981i incredibly robust: the IP65-rated scanner can withstand 50 drops onto concrete from a height of 2 metres and 5,000 impacts (skid test with 1 m drum), even in extremely cold temperatures of down to -30 °C.
