Whether it's 7.5-mil codes on paper with poor print quality at arm's length or reflective 100-mil codes directly under the warehouse roof, the 1980i ensures high throughput and optimal productivity even under extreme working conditions thanks to its outstanding reading performance.
Numerous technologies ensure high user-friendliness: thanks to the integrated laser beam targeting system with automatic illumination and direction-independent reading, as well as a special function for targeted reading in the center of the scan field, you can work precisely even with a wide scan range. Forklift drivers with mobile vehicle computers, such as those from Honeywell's Thor series, will particularly appreciate the versatile scanning functions of the 1980i, as pallets located at a great distance can now be scanned comfortably while seated, thus significantly increasing productivity.
Like all scanners in the Granite series, the 1980i is specially designed for use in extreme environmental conditions. The Granite housing, which has long since become the standard, makes the 1980i incredibly robust: the scanner, which is classified as IP65, can withstand 50 drops onto concrete from a height of 2 m and 5,000 impacts (spinning test with 1 m drum), even in extreme cold of up to -30 °C.
