Evolis transparent transfer ribbon is required for printing cards with Evolis retransfer printers. The printing ribbon contains a continuous layer of lacquer with markings for aligning the material to be printed for the printing process.
Evolis retransfer printers print graphics onto the transfer ribbon using the color ribbon. The printed ribbon is then applied to the card surface. This places the printed graphic between the transfer ribbon and the card.
